It's currently 7:40 P.M. as I'm writing this. I've been in the studio since 11 A.M. working on music with the producers. I think it's official. We just recorded what will probably the most ridiculous track on the upcoming album. A majority of this new song "Great Sensations" was taken from a song I wrote many years ago. We've turned it into something much greater. Actually I don't know if I would use the word great. But it's something. We've also started working on a new song which as the working title of "Bank Bank". I don't know if that's the title that will make it to the record but it's a catchy little diddy that we just came up with. Kevin Morse actually was there as the idea started so he should get credit for helping lay the foundation of this track. I'll be in the studio a lot this month finishing the album. Hopefuly I'll have more updates soon. - Patrick

My apologies for the website being so 'quiet' in the last month. We've all been super busy with our own projects. I really hope to have a new music video shot and uploaded before Christmas. If all goes to plan, that will happen. I wanted to have our album out before Christmas as well but lately things have been so scattered I really need to recharge and get things into gear again. I've been really busy preparing my old podcast, the patCAST, for a reunion show. Fans of the Variety Picnic are more than welcome to come watch and listen on the patCAST website but I must warn you. It's a personal podcast more than anything. My friends and I sit around talking about whatever and it might not be your cup of tea but hey if you're interested then I hope you like it. We're doing a live reunion show on the website on Sunday November 22nd, 2009 at 9PM. You can watch and interact in the chat room. It's possible that the Variety Picnic could be brought up but who knows! We'll see what happens. I'm also going to be posting another new song or two very soon. So keep checking back for that. The best way to stay up to date with all the latest news is via our Twitter or Facebook. I've got a lot of new music I'm excited about sharing with you. - P
